Taylor Lautner Rumored to be at Detroit Area Movie Theaters on Saturday, July 3rd.

I just heard from a friend of mine that the Twilight cast member who will be in Detroit this weekend will show up at an MJR theater (maybe more than one!) in the Detroit area and that it is rumored to be TAYLOR LAUTNER!

Makes sense, being that he’s from Michigan and all. :)

Fangs for the Memories: Final ‘Twilight’ Movie Split in Two

By DAVE ITZKOFF

TwilightSummit Entertainment Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in “Twilight.”

Even if you’ve never read a “Twilight” book in your whole undead life, you’re probably aware that “Breaking Dawn,” the fourth and final entry in Stephenie Meyer’s novels about a young vampire and the human woman who loves him, is possibly the strangest in that series. (Among other plot twists, the human Bella gives birth to the vampire Edward’s baby, and the werewolf Jacob becomes romantically bonded to that baby.) So what’s the best way to handle the cinematic adaptation of such a weird work? Break it into two movies, of course.

Summit Entertainment, the movie studio behind the “Twilight” films, will release the film version of “Breaking Dawn” as two separate movies, The Hollywood Reporter said. Both will be directed by Bill Condon (“Gods and Monsters,” “Dreamgirls”) with the first part to be released on Nov. 18, 2011, and the second planned for the following year. The third, less strange movie in the cycle, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” will be released on June 30.

The breaking up of “Breaking Dawn” follows other cinematic literary adaptations that have been staggered out over multiple films, including “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” (which will be released in two parts in 2010 and 2011) and “The Hobbit” (which is planned as two films for 2011 and 2012).

Hey, Kristen Stewart, this means you get to star in one whole additional “Twilight” movie! Pretty exciting, right?

Maybe not.

The Wayans Brothers plan on Spoofing Twilight in “Vampire Movie”

The Wayans brothers will be making a spoof called “Vampire Movie” that will start filming this fall. It’s about time!

The Wayans brothers have carved out a cottage industry niche with their satirical brand of movie making that follows in the footsteps of the old Mel Brooks spoofs – only these are funny!

On their MySpace page  they’ve announced that Twilight is now as big a phenomenon as the slasher flicks that inspired their “Scary Movie” movies that have been a big moneymaker for the bros formerly from the projects in the Bronx.

They’ve also confirmed that Andy Samberg will be playing “Edward Coolman” and that Miley Cyrus will be snagging a cameo role.

If all goes well, they plan on making it a trilogy.

Nominate “New Moon” for MTV Movie Awards

Take from MTV.com

Last year, for the first time in the history of the MTV Movie Awards, we entrusted you with the task of selecting our nominees in categories like Best Fight, Best Kiss and Best WTF Moment. You didn’t disappoint, delivering support to “Twilight,” “Slumdog Millionaire” and a ton of other flicks in genres ranging from comic book flicks to rom-coms.

You did such a killer job that we’re putting out the call again: We want you to choose the nominees for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards! The power of the Golden Popcorn is yours — starting right now. Voting in 13 categories — some classics, as well as a few brand-new ones — is set to begin Monday (March 29) at noon ET at MovieAwards.MTV.com. The MTV Movie Awards will air live on Sunday, June 6, at 9 p.m. ET from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

Joining familiar categories like Best Movie, Best Villain, and Best Male and Female Performance are three fresh categories: Global Superstar, Best Ass-Kicking Star and Best Scared-as-Sh– Performance.

So what’s going to happen this year? Will “New Moon” reprise the success of “Twilight,” which nabbed seven nominations in 2009, including Best Movie and Best Kiss for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson? Will Best Ass-Kicking Star go to Hugh Jackman for his metallic-skeleton-assisted brawling in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” to Channing Tatum’s freedom fighter in “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,” or to someone else entirely? Which Global Superstar — Johnny Depp? Angelina Jolie? — will be the first to take home this award?

These are the questions you’ll be answering when the polls open. Voting will run through 6 p.m. ET on Friday, April 9. After the nominees are announced, voting for a winner in each category will start May 11 and run through June 5. But voting for Best Movie will stay open throughout the awards show itself — meaning you’ll have a chance to affect the night’s biggest prize until the very last minute.

Are you excited for this year’s MTV Movie Awards? Which movies and celebs will you be voting for? Let us know in the comments below!

Don’t miss this year’s MTV Movies Awards, airing live Sunday, June 6, at 9 p.m. ET from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson are in multiple categories for both New Moon and Remember Me/The Runaways.
